Step into the beating heart of the Castello di Fonterutoli estate: after the tour of the winery, the journey continues through the evocative barrel cellar, where silence, time, and wood guide the evolution of our wines.
Here, you will enjoy an exclusive tasting of the three wines that embody Fonterutoli’s identity and winemaking history — Castello Fonterutoli, Concerto di Fonterutoli, and Siepi — presented in two vintages each, including one from our archive, for a total of six wines.
This direct comparison of different vintages allows you to appreciate the evolution of the wines, the expression of individual vineyards, and the style that has always distinguished our production.
A delay of up to 20 minutes from the scheduled time is tolerated.
For delays exceeding 20 minutes, we cannot guarantee the experience will take place.
For the safety of the experience, children under the age of 12 are not permitted.

There is a public parking in front of the entrance of the winery: the reception is 200 mt / 3 minutes walking, you can easily use the pedestrian path

Gran Selezione since 1995
It's the wine that represents the essence itself of Castello di Fonterutoli estate. It was a forerunner, in 1995, of Gran Selezione category; it's a Cru of Sangiovese coming from the best parcels surrounding the Fonterutoli hamlet, in the Castellina in Chianti municipality. The real "Château" of the estate.

“Concerto” was born in 1981, as an effect of a viticulture with an unexpressed potential, experimenting new training systems and new blends, including also non-autochthonous varietals; it was one of the forerunners and also one of the top 10 players of the “Super Tuscans” phenomenon.

"One of the 50 wines that changed Italy wine style" - Gambero Rosso
Siepi, owned by Mazzei family since 1435, has always been a model farm, still managed today with the same kind of respect. A unique location, a special microclimate, the foresight in the early 1980s to plant Merlot as the ideal grape to complement Sangiovese in a very particular "terroir" produce a wine which is perfectly balanced between elegance, power and complexity.
